If the strike on Hezbollah and the Cast Lead were justified?

This question has been asked the innumerable number of times both by pro- palestinian and pro-Israeli posters.
Three days ago, the Military Intelligence Chief Maj-Gen Amos Yadlin gave a very good answer to this question. In the winter of 2009, not one Israeli soldier or civilian has been murdered in a terror…

they didn’t go far enough, they should have wiped the terrorist scum off the face of the earth

Totally false. The vast majority of fatalities due to terrorist attacks perpetrated against Israel originated from the West Bank. The “fence” is the main reason for the decrease in attacks and deaths.

The price was not worth it

A terrorist state can’t give a collective punishment

The ends do not match the means

You’re such a cruel little man (:

No, they weren’t. Anyone who thinks that the indiscriminate dropping of cluster bombs after a truce had been declared in Lebanon or the use of battlefield weaponry is an accessory to the war crimes of the israel.

I would rather Israel bomb gaza (considering they target terrorist strong holds AND still warn them) than hamas continue you rain qassams on Sderot. Roughly 75-90% of Israeli children suffer from PTSD symptoms (right this moment) Israel cannot sit idle as gaza attacks their civilians.

I’m more of a finish the job you start kind of guy. War wouldn’t happen so often if the results were more final and regime change a part of it.

i love when right wingers start justifying their terrorism in such self-aggrandizing terms. But as you judge, so will you be judged.

No, it was not justified. My uncle died the first day of that war.
And the first answer sucks.
