Never. They have signed treaties promising they would stop but haven’t.
Algiers accords (Enforced by the US):
“Point 1. The United States pledges that it is and from now on will be the policy of the United States not to intervene, directly or indirectly, politically or militarily, in Iran’s internal affairs.”
And US constitution, Article VI:
“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land.”
I think they are still ‘interfering.’
EDIT: If the US has a right to interfere when it is in its interest, then I guess Bin Laden had the right to carry out 9/11. Mainly because he liked it.
I have already done my time in the military and I am too old now. (By the way, this situation would not even arise if you’d all stop meddling in the affairs of other sovereign nations)—- And that is a fact Jack!
In 2001, V.P Cheney, the main architect in Iraq war announced that “By 2010 the US will need 50 Million barrels of oil a day”.
The military campaign in Iraq been a total failure so far.
The US is seeking 30 years contract with Iraqi Gov. for big oil:
Exxon/Mobil, Shell, BP, Total and Chevron Corps, before complete withdrawal from Iraq, but that has raised concerned and Resistance in Iraqi Gov.
The US foreign policy has proved total failure in the globe for the last 2 decades!
The time for a change of diplomacy is now overdue.
When America loose the power to meddle, which thanks to Bush has just been fast tracked.
right you are ken your answer is laughable.
Chile: Gen. Augusto Pinochet, 1973-1990, 3000 murdered. 400,000
Argentina: Gen. Jorge Rafael Videla, 1976-198, 30,000 murdered
Paraguay Stroessner. US supported throughout (state.gov says US has supported Paraguayan development since 1942) ($142M between 1962 and 1975)
Iraq: Saddam Hussein
Iran: The Shah of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini was on the CIA payroll in the 1970s in Paris
I could go on.. Just a few of the dictators the US has helped over the years.
Not anytime soon. That would really take a revolution and in the unlikely event there was a new American revolution there’s more chance it goes wrong and gets worse.
Natural evolution I’d say a century or two
When we lose a war, ever since we have the undefeated streak we have the tendency to boast.
All comes to an end one day
When another country finally kicks our @ss.
China may soon be powerful enough to do it.
And I’m not talking with just bombs…… the @ss kicking we could get may be financial.
It is the sovereign right of the US to interfere in the affairs of other nations if their actions impact US interests (example: National or economic interests).
The US also has rights.
It is our duty to spread Democracy by the sword! If other countries don’t like it…too bad! We know what’s best for them. We can do whatever the hell we want because we are the greatest nation on Earth!!
