How can you support him as the leader of a country that’s practically bankrupt due to insane spending more than it has and has to borrow from other countries, who says, “borrow more.”
He’s supposed to be the leader of a country…
The people who still support Obama, support him because he’s a Democrat and they want to beat the Republicans. It’s the two party, ‘us vs. them’ game that George Washington warned us about.
Because I’m not a brainwashed sheep who forgot everything that happened before Obama was sworn in as president. I don’t blame him for a bad economy which Republicans set up for collapse with their irresponsible deregulation of the financial industry. I also didn’t fall for the “Obama is a messiah” b.s. and don’t accuse him of being a failure when he doesn’t deliver miracles.
My expectations for politicians are not high. Obama has exceeded them. Republicans have not. I’d rather keep the president who has led the country into a 1 million jobs per month improvement in job growth numbers than run back the party who destabilized the economy in the first place. “Trickle down” economics is a failure because it relies on the most selfish people being generous.
You are confusing a political ideal with a market idea. For example, China is a communist country however their current market system is capitalist. I can assure you that the states that typically vote liberal/democrat/moderate are also the states where there is the greatest wealth and education. We typically send more of our federal tax money out of our states rather than have money flowing into our states. The main concern is that we feel that the middle class is struggling because of a agreements with large corporation and upper echelon individuals that they are not required to fullfill their responsibilities as citizens.
why is a great question.
it has never been proven that he was born here. even if he was his father was not a U.S. citizen which disqualifies him right off the bat. he is carrying on the same programs as Bush and more wars. only reason I could come up with is we have become a nation of dopes. can’t prove me wrong.
You are “making your mistake” by (apparently) not understanding that performance can ONLY be measured in comparison to something….if you earn “X” amount of dollars, the ONLY way for you to know whether you are well-paid is to compare your pay with that of others, right? A “raw number”
tells you nothing…
With that in mind;
Under Mr. Bush, the Dow Jones Industrial Index went from 10,860 in 2001 when he was elected to 8,279 in Jan 2009 when his Presidency ended, an impressive decline of 23.7%.
Under Obama, it has gone from 8,279 to 12,824 as of just now, a gain of 4,545 points, or 54.9%
Osama under Bush; Still breathing (seven years after Bush started chasing him)
Osama under Obama; stopped breathing after three years..
Qaddafi under Bush; Bombing innocent people but recognized as “Libya’s legitimate leader”
Qaddafi under Obama; assuming room temperature
al-Awlaki under Bush; plotting to kill fellow Americans
al-Awlaki under Obama; pushing up daisies…
These are SOME of the reasons Obama will likely have very little difficulty getting reelected….it is the sane majority of Americans that are not of EITHER political extreme, fortunately, that actually chose the President…
Here are a few more reasons, if you have the time or inclination to understand what your neighbors actually care about (other than the above);
As you will see from this list he has done quite a lot in 3 years.
Despite the characterizations of some, Obama’s success rate in winning congressional votes on issues was an unprecedented 96.7% for his first year in office. Though he is often cited as superior to Obama, President Lyndon Johnson’s success rate in 1965 was only 93%. http://n.pr/i3d7cY
Within days after taking office, he signed an Executive Order ordering an audit of government contracts, and combating waste and abuse. http://1.usa.gov/dUvbu5
Created the post of Chief Performance Officer, whose job it is to make operations more efficient to save the federal government money. http://n.pr/hcgBn1
On his first full day, he froze White House salaries. http://on.msnbc.com/ewJUIx
accounting tricks and growing government by 30% shouldn’t equate to economic growth
The workforce is getting smaller
People are falling out of the unemployment figures
last month, for instance, 2 million jobs fell off the books, and 20,000 or so, jobs were added. Do the math negative 2 million and positive 20,000 equals a reduction in the unemployment rate to 8.3
How is this possible?
Answer: accounting tricks
Using the U3 unemployment number, rather than the more accurate U6 number. This started in the 90s for some “strange” reason
But no matter how you slice it, this country is hurting, and out of work
So, if you’re a dishonest politician…cough “Obama” cough….you claim that the economy is recovering, unemployment is coming down, etc. when the reality is that millions of jobs have been lost since he’s taken office. All he has to do is not count them. The pie has shrunk
And the stock market is not the economy; but should be some indication of it.
Obama’s Wall St. buddies are working overtime for him. I don’t trust the stock market right now
Barack Obama is a guy that thinks hes fly, and is also known as a busta.
Oh and tribeca is WRONG! We have had unemployment above 9% for 29 of the past 31 months. Try again!! (Thats a Paul G btw.)
They also like Barack Obama for the hand-outs and support of unions.
We are in our 23rd consecutive month of economic growth after the disaster of the Great Recession under Bush.
You devoted a lot of words to saying nothing. Republican candidates are doing something similar and that is one reason why they will lose in November.
I know – it’s weird! It’s almost like they don’t even watch Fox News.
