Halliburton scored almost $1.2 billion in revenue from contracts related to Iraq in the third quarter of 2006, leading one analyst to comment: “Iraq was better than expected … Overall, there is nothing really to question or be skeptical about. I think the results are very good.”
Very good indeed. An estimated…
Conflict of interest maybe. Premeditated murder…I think that may be a little over the top.
Actually Cheney does not hold any stock options in Halliburton.
Thats a myth thats been spread since 2001.
Before Cheney assumed office,
He signed over all his Halliburton Stock option to a irrevocable trust before he took office.
The “Gift Trust Agreement” the Cheney’s signed two days before he took office turns over power of attorney to a trust administrator to sell the options at some future time and to give the after-tax profits to three charities. The agreement specifies that 40% will go to the University of Wyoming (Cheney’s home state), 40% will go to George Washington University’s medical faculty to be used for tax-exempt charitable purposes, and 20% will go to Capital Partners for Education, a charity that provides financial aid for low-income students in Washington, DC to attend private and religious schools.
Your beating a dead horse.
So what? Your darling George Soros owns 1.8 million shares of Halliburton so why don’t you complain about him? He profited 4.5 times more than Mr. Cheney, or is that OK with you because he supports every anti-American cause in the world?
Let’s see, I think they tried diplomacy and Saddam screwed with the UN Inspectors and thumbed his nose at the UN.
At least Haliburton earned the money and didn’t steal it like the UN did. No wonder they wanted to prolong talks so they could steal more money. Haliburton is world wide, do you have a problem with them making money every where or just Iraq.
Too bad you aren’t equally as upset about the UN stealing Iraq’s money.
Regardless of dick, it’s all true about innocents people killed for some Oil , defense contractor or any freaking s**t fat corps. to show profit? It is truly amazing how cold hearted some people are?
can they be called human!? what a civilized country!?
He’s getting around the conflict of interest point by having his payments deferred. He doesn’t actually receive any money while still the VP, he’ll get it all after he steps down. I see him ending up on the board of directors at Halliburton.
Blah blah blah.
Michael Moore once owned Halliburton stock…sold it for a nice little profit.
