I really love books that have to do with romances..like teenager romance not older romances. i also usually seem to like books that take palce in summer camps or something of that sort. im planning on doing a lot of reading this summer so give me lotts!
By now you know that Meg Cabot is the queen bee of romance, so I highly suggest that you read her princess series.
A book that I recently read was I’d Tell you I love you but then I’d have to kill you, by Ally Carter. Its about a girl in spy school who falls in love with a common townsboy… very cute, and a sequel is to come out in october.
I don’t know if you have ever read a Karen Kingsbury novel, but they are amazing!! She has multiple series out, and they are very good reads!
Also the Sister hood of the traveling pants series is fun to read. There are i think five of them currently out, and they are great stories about friends and love.
When i was in seventh grade, my teacher read to us: The Watsons go to Birmingham, 1967. This is a great book of historical fiction and quite funny! Even though it has been about two years since i have read it, it still remains in my head as one of the funniest books that i have ever read!
A friend of mine who also loves to read, recommended this series to me called the Private series by Kate Brian. She also recommended that I read Meagan Meade’s Guide to McGowan Boys, also by Kate Brian.
I don’t know if you have seen the movie or not, but if not, then i highly suggest that you read the book: A Walk to remember! It is a really good love story that really grabs the reader… even if you already saw the movie, still read the book because it is usually better.
If you are into old fashioned love stories, then you should read Emma and Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice… I haven’t read these books because i am not big on the language in them, but every reader is different.
If you have a favorite book that you like, just go to borders.com and see if there are any suggestions that are similar to the one that you read. Have fun!
Hey. Carol Matas writes a bunch of books that deal with people who lived through WWII, they’re all really, really good. Especially Daniel’s Story. The Truth About Forever, This Lullaby and Just Listen by Sara Dessen are all really moving books. This Lullaby is a really inspirational book. Very beautiful. The Empress of the World is a really good book by Sara Ryan. It does deal with two girls who struggle to deal with their sexuality, so it just depends what your limits are. There’s one in adult fiction that would be good even for a 14 year old and that’s Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I’m not usually one for male main characters, or a plot that revolves around circus life, but it was a really happy, and just a generally good book all around. Megan McCafferty has Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds and Fourth Comings.. And I haven’t met a teenaged girl who’s hated those books. The main character Jessica Darling is hilarious, and you feel like you can really connect with her.. Annnnnd!! Hah, (I love books, can you tell?), Scott Westerfeld’s trilogy Uglies, Pretties and Specials are some of the best sci-fi teen books I’ve read. Also, if you’re into sci-fi/political/social commentary novels, Wyndham’s The Chrysalids is amazing.
Hi Chelsea! I hope this answer doesn`t arrive too late. My first suggestion is The Little Prince of A. de Saint Exupery. This is is most wonderful book in the world. I have read it many, many times and ever when I do it, I can feel a new emotion, I find a new message. It`s always on my nightable, as well as Don Quijote, a masterpiece, of course, but considering that I`m a bit older than you, I recommend you to visit this page from a teacher who likes books as you do. Congratulations for being such an intelligent girl. I`m sure you`ll achieve all your goals. Reading is the great way to knowledge, to feed your soul, to enrich your spirit and to open all the doors. Good Summer!

Haha wow, summer camps. That’s very specific. Well in the The Lovely Bones, the protagonist’s sister goes to a genius summer camp for the summer with her boyfriend. But I think that book is little too old for you. I do recommend it when you’re older though.
You’re probably already into her, but Meg Cabot is like the queen of teen love stories. She’s so funny.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Vampire/human love between teens.
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. Boy falls for new, odd girl in town.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Four best friends go their separate ways during the summers and face conflicts and love.
Sarah Dessen and Meg Cabot both write teen romance. (I would recommend The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen and Avalon High by Meg Cabot.)
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books by Ann Brashares are good.
Anything by Lurlene McDaniel.
Anything by Nicholas Sparks.
You can also go to Google and type in “teen romance books”.
I would suggest:
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
A northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly*
The It Girl by Cecilly Von Zeigsar*
Wicked Lovely by Mellissa Marr*
Uglies by Scott Westerfeild
Also try books by Lois Duncan she is a great writer…
I am reading Gossip Girl by Von Zeigsar right now and it is great so far as well!
I am 15 so keep that in mind, the books with the star next to it contains overly graphic parts, or sexual parts, but they are small and if you overlook them they are really good books
Dancing in Red Shoes Will Kill You: by Dorian Cirrone
Lucy Peale by Colby Rodowski
The Earth My Butt and Other Big Round Things
Avalon High by Meg Cabot
Tithe by Holly Black
