They were both great men. Martin Luther changed Christianity and Martin Luther King changed civil rights.
Martin Luther King was a black man who wanted all slaves to become free, which is awesome, and Martin Luther was a German priest and professor of theology that started the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther made a list of 95 theses why Catholicism was wrong in it’s attempt to gain money through the theology of Purgatory. So he nailed it to the church doors being as bold as he was in Latin which was meant only for the Priests of the time because people below the priesthood couldn’t read Latin in that time frame. He was later excommunicated from the church and declared an outlaw. In his later years however, he became very antisemitic and wrote a paper that all Jewish homes should be destroyed. Just goes to show you that one person’s idea can cause many feuds. If you wish to compare Martin Luther with Hitler…Go for it. In fact that would be a good English paper ^_^
Martin Luther was active in the 1500s during the Reformation to correct the corruption of the Catholic church. Martin Luther King Jr. worked to bring an end to segregation in the 1960s
Martin Luther was a Catholic Priest who in 1517 nailed his 95 theses on the church door at Wittenburg Germany that started the Reformation and the rise of non-Catholic churches called Protestant churches
Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister from Atlanta who was a main player in the Civil Rights era here in America in the 50s and 60s

Kings’ death did not end in much bloodshed.
