I don’t know, but that is a really good question. I personally could care less about any celebrity’s personal private life, or anyone else’s for that matter.
And to cats3to2 —- I happen to have OCD and as I’ve already said, I could care less about anyone’s personal private life (other than my own of course.) So please tell me how you came up with that nonsense!
Hmmm, I think that people are interested in seeing how the “other half lives”. I also think that people really get something out of seeing those put on a pedestal fall from grace. It’s satisfying for them to see they’re also human. I’m not saying that it’s right, but I think that’s how most people see it.
I would have to think that many that go into the “celebrity” business are looking for the adoration that comes with being someone in Hollywood. After a while though, it’s not what they want anymore and despise it. There are people in Hollywood that you never see out and about (Renee Zellweger, Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, etc.). These people do not go out looking to be photographed by paparazzi. On the other hand, you have those whose publicists will call people and tell them that Brittney or Paris Hilton will be at such and such a place. They beg for this type of attention.
You have two levels, the fan who is just more or less an admirer, this is a fairly fickle thing and fades soon in favor of the next “celebrity.’ Then you have the really sick, obsessive dangerous kind,l e.g. Rebecca Schaeffer, Teresa Saldana and John Lennon, which is why most big celebs have protection incl services that receive all their mail. I met a man named gavin De Becker who has made a career and a business doing just that and he told me the extreme fans send things you would not believe through the mail incl BODY PARTS.
they have the main suitable to stay their lives as they want and additionally they are entitled to their privateness. It must be annoying to be a action picture star with everybody understanding your corporation. subsequently, i would not desire to be of their shoes for any quantity of money! i think some human beings have no longer something extra useful to do than to gossip approximately somebody wide-unfold.
Celebrities get paid good money for us to “pry into their lives”.
How do you know I don’t have a life?
Btw, it’s not just celebrities. What about gossip in school, at work, families?
I’m not sure that has anything to do with people “not having a life”. I think it has more to do with how much of a tendency towards Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) a person has. You might want to ask this under Mental Health instead of etiquette. Certainly it’s rude to pry into anyone’s personal life.
I use to read Life & Style Magazine when I was bored and on break from work. I just needed something to relax me.
Most of us have lives, but its funny to laugh at the failures of others.
