Christians who vote democrat aren’t real or true christians?

Don’t you agree

If you are call yourself christian and vote democrat you are breaking god’s laws for one democrats are for abortion a woman’s right to kill her baby and for gay marriage and that’s an abomination so if you call yourself a Christian and vote democrat you aren’t a real Christian

Yes. It seems as though Democrats are anti-God in a majority of their preferences. I would never consider someone a true Christian that holds to democrat doctrine.

There are a lot of issues involved in a political party and for most, abortion isn’t on the top of the list when voting, the economy is. Democrats have a ideology that the gvt should be used to promote a sense of fairness and economic evenness in society and that the federal gvt should have an increased role in our society to ensure that this is applied evenly thruout the country. They tend to believe in a larger Federal gvt and that gvt should regulate and “take care” of the people. Republicans have an ideology regarding economics where gvt should be as limited as possible and to leave the private sector alone to allow for individuals to have the greatest chance of success in a climate that isn’t stifling or restrictive to business growth. In terms of social issues, Republicans tend to want to let that play out on a local level instead of a Federal level. They tend to believe gvt programs don’t work and are wasteful and that private charities and the private sector in general does a better job than the gvt.

They are just diff approaches to how a society best runs and succeeds. I think history has proven time and time again that the democratic model simply doesn’t work because it is based on an ideal of human behavior instead of a reality of human behavior, but you can be a Christian and be a democrat because there are a lot of issues that make up a political platform and there are various reasons for why you might be against something, but still not advocate the gvt’s intervention in it.

It’s entirely possible to be opposed to abortion without committing to “solving” the problem by making pregnant women the property of the government. And it’s a whole lot more hypocritical to claim to be opposed to abortion while doing everything you can to cause more of them, which has been Republican policy for about 35 years, including the recent campaign against Planned Parenthood services.

As for legal recognition of same-sex marriage, I have enjoyed the legal, economic, and social benefits of being married for a long time. I wouldn’t like it if someone were to try to take those privileges away. So if I’m going to follow the Golden Rule, that means allowing same-sex couples the same privileges.

Go ahead: argue that those of us who follow the Golden Rule aren’t “true” Christians….

We excuse ourselves by noting that republicans in power don’t address the problem either. We don’t vote on single issues and even support single payer health care by govenment planning instead of insurance company merger.

I’m an independent. Where in the teachings of Christ or the apostles does it say that “you have to vote republican.” I can see why most of the world don’t like Americans, we’re too narrow minded in our thinking.

True followers listen to Jesus–they are no part of this world–its the false religions of Babylon the great that fornicate with the kings of the earth( by voting for them and allowing it), killing for them( and allowing it) Gods word teaches they are corrupt( depravity)-2Pet 2:19)

Jesus is king to a true follower. One cannot support both sides, because both sides are in opposition-Rev 19:17-19, Dan 2:44)

Read what the bible says about the unborn and the very young. Little value is placed on them and they are not considered human. God is killing the unborn and young children in the bible as well as instructing others to do the same. Using the bible to oppose abortion is a loser for 2 reasons.

1) There is plenty of killing the unborn and young children in the bible.
2) The pro-life movement has been successful and still has half of society behind it because they did not retreat to scripture. Once you retreat there it likely means you have no strong rational arguments and support will drop.

And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. — Leviticus 27:6

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? … Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. — Numbers 31:15-17

Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. — Hosea 9:14

Yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. — Hosea 9:16

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up. — Hosea 13:16

Because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. — 2 Samuel 12:14

Both parties aren’t for making tattoos illegal

Leviticus 19:28
“Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.”

Anybody who votes is against god.

Jesus commanded his followers to take care of the poor and needy and to love one’s neighbor. I don’t see how a Christian can be a Republican.

The same argument could be made against right wingers who display utter contempt for the poor.

Silly religious nonsense should not factor into who you vote for regardless of what side of the aisle you’re on.

Real Christians do not vote in America because they have left US in protest over the concept of freedom of religion. Real Christians are not tolerant of other religions.
